Save The Dates: 2009 Flemington Classic Car Show Schedule

May 30th, June 13th & 27th, July 11th & 25th, Aug. 8th & 22nd, and Sept. 5th

Flemington 2009 Car Shows start on Saturday May 30th and are held every other Saturday from 5pm-8:30pm. Registration is FREE, and for main show, will take place in front of Historic Courthouse on Main Street and starts at 5pm. Featured Cars registration will be on corner of Main Street and Fulper Avenue. Featured Cars will be in two locations — Fulper Avenue near Unity Bank and Central Avenue, next to Friendly Grounds (see Calendar for details). A DJ will be near Courthouse and Live music will be performed in three locations (thanks to all of our performers for donating your talent to support the community) — Unity Bank on Fulper Ave. and Main St., Kries Jeweler on north end of Main St. and Friendly Grounds on Central Ave. (see below for scheduled performers). First-time car owner attendees can pre-register: click here for form, complete the form and send in (see form for details). Stop by Main Street Registration to find out about this season's Flemington Car Show Scavenger Hunt. Weather cancellations will be made and posted by 3pm on show days on this website.

Registration will be at 2pm at Unity Bank on the corner of Main Street & Fulper Ave. in Flemington. Motorcycles will register, sign in, pick up your t-shirt, and get written directions/instructions for the Run. Motorcycle participants will enjoy a 50 mile ride and will receive a random poker card at each of five pre-determined stops along the way. Walkers will also sign in, receive a T-shirt, and receive directions for the Walk that will take you through historic Flemington while stopping at predetermined locations to receive random poker cards at each stop. At the final destination, the top two poker hands will receive cash prizes: $100 for best hand and $50 for next best hand. At the return of the ride (ending with the 5th stop at Unity Bank) there will be a BBQ, live music and we will raffle prizes and give out awards. Cost per motorcycle rider is $20 and $15 for passengers. Cost for walker is $20. Participants may receive an extra poker hand for $5. Hunterdon County Adult School

The Hypnosis Counseling Center with offices in Flemington, Frenchtown and Bloomfield will present a special set of workshops on Thursday July 9, 2009 for Smoking Cessation and Weight Loss at Hunterdon Central HS, Rt. 31, Flemington, NJ.

Each one hour workshop includes hypnosis exercises, discussion and an optional CD for $18, which assists in reinforcing immediate results and long range success. The workshops can be taken individually or as a set. The Smoking Cessation workshop begins at 6:30pm and runs to 7:30pm, and the Weight Loss group will continue from 7:30 to 8:30pm. Barry Wolfson, who possesses a Master’s Degree in Counseling and 23 years of proven success in the art of hypnosis, will lead each workshop. The cost per workshop is $55. Registration begins immediately, and participants will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
